Brief Description of Package: RWSHP-WD-61
The construction of community based small piped water supply schemes in village clusters with on an average 30-40 households, which consists of the following components: a)Installation of100mm x 75mm dia Tube well with 1.5 HP Submersible Pump b)Construction of RCC structure with Platform for Overhead Water Tank (Height 25 ft) c) Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Vessel Type IRP/ AIRP(if necessary) d) Piped network system with total length of about 0.75-1.00 km e) Community Mobilization f) Operation and maintenance of the schemes for initial 5 (five) years.

Official Cost Estimate (Prediction):
* Since document price is Tk. 4000, estimated cost should be more than 2 crore BDT.
* Tender Security can be maximum 3% of Official Cost Estimate. So estimated cost is more than Tk. 50000000.
* Tender Security is normally more than 1% of Official Cost Estimate. So estimated cost should be less than 150000000 BDT.

Eligibility criteria for the selection of DBO contractors:
a) Construction Company/NGO/Social Enterprise/Joint Venture of Construction Company with Social Enterprise NGOs.
b) Must have specific experience in the construction of Tube well/ Production well/Overhead Water Tank (OHT)/ Water Treatment Plant/Piped Water Supply Scheme.
c) Must have experience in community mobilization and operation & maintenance of water infrastructures/ piped water supply schemes.
d) Financial solvency to invest in capital expenditure or operational expenditure.
e) Small Piped Water Supply Schemes will be implemented by the selection of DBO (Design- Build-Operate) Firm/ Contractor.
f) The contract awarded DBO Firm/Contractor will be fully responsible for ensuring sustainable Operation & Maintenance (O&M) for initial 05 (five) years after successful completion of the scheme. For this purpose, a tripartite contract agreement has to be furnished along with submission of a security bond amounting to 5% of the contract value of the scheme in the form of a Pay Order/ Bank Guarantee in favor of the relevant Executive Engineer before
submission of the final bill which will be released after successful Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of the initial 05 (five) years.
f) It is mandatory for all interested bidders/ Representatives along with JV partners/ Representatives to participate in the Pre-tender meeting through the e-GP system to have a better understanding of the implementation modality of the scheme.
