Technical Specification of Premix Kernel:


• Amount recommended by WHO for rice consumption of 150 –215 fortification level or t 300 g/cap/d, in ppm (mg/kg): Vitamin A (Palmitate)- 1.5, Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)- 4.0, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamine-0.01, Folic Acid (Folic acid)- 1.3, Iron (Ferric pyrophosphate)-60, Zinc (Zinc Oxide)-40
• Target amount in 100g uncooked rice: Vitamin A (Palmitate)- 150 mcg (=RE), Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)- 0.4 mg, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamine-1 mcg, Folic Acid (Folic acid)- 130 mcg, Iron (Ferric pyrophosphate)- 6mg, Zinc (Zinc Oxide)- 4 mg
• Target fortification level, including 30% overage for vitamins to compensate: Vitamin A (Palmitate)- 195 mcg, Vitamin B1 (Thiamin)- 0.52 mg, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamine-1.3 mcg, Folic Acid (Folic acid)- 170 mcg, Iron (Ferric pyrophosphate)- 6mg, Zinc (Zinc Oxide)- 4 mg

Shelf life: Rice premix kernel should be made from the fresh ingredients so that the shelf life is one year from the date of shipment.
Packaging: Rice Premix kernel should be packed in 25 kg net weight with HDP inside with three layer paper outer layer. HDP should be closed by heat seal and outer paper bag by double stitching.
