Background of the project:
Police units are vital for maintaining public order and safety, but they often face challenges related to funding. A mismatch between allocated budgets and actual operational expenses can hinder performance, stretch resources, and affect service delivery. This research seeks to explore the extent and causes of this imbalance, with the goal of framing better budgeting practices and resource planning
Objectives of the Assignment:
1. To assess the difference between allocated budgets and actual operational expenses in selected police Stations.
2. To identify the key areas where budget shortfalls or overspending are most common.
3. To investigate the causes of this mismatch (e.g., poor planning, unexpected costs, inflation, mismanagement).
4. To recommend strategies for improving budget forecasting and resource allocation.
