প্যাকেজের বিবরণ: Sustainable DND Canal Through Public Awareness (Phase-05).
Scope of Services:
1 Cleaning Program in both sides of the DND canal from Sarulia to Mridhabari.
2 Eviction Program to evict illegal shops and structures from DND canal area with collaboration of SWTP of Dhaka WASA and general people.
3 Stop illegal water connections & removal of sewage disposal lines from DND canal.
4 Awareness Miking (using loudspeakers to disseminate awareness messages to general people).
5 Tree Plantation (in small scale) in both sides of the DND canal area to improve the environment and to occupy evicted places to reduce relocation.
6 Regular meeting with EPZC (Environment Protection Zonal Committee) members to ensure participation of community people in activities.
7 Periodic meeting with EPExC (Environment Protection Executive Committee) committee members. SWTP officials, local leaders of the area, representatives from Thana, journalists, teachers, and students are included in this committee.
8 Meeting with youth group members. Students from different colleges and universities and local youths are included in youth groups.
9 Awareness sessions for students at different schools in the area.
10 Orientation of student’s brigade.
11 Participation of School (College) Management Committees (SMC) & students in awareness activities.
12 Participation of students from well-known Colleges & Universities in environmental development of DND canal.
13 Courtyard meeting with different stakeholders of the project.
14 Awareness leaflet distribution among shopkeepers, shop owners, households and general people.
15 Learning workshops every year with all levels of stakeholders of the project.

The consultant should have specific experience of public awareness in the surrounding areas of the DND Canal. The consultant should be capable of collaborating with local Govt, Semi-govt and private agencies during any emergency as a crisis response team. The consultant should actively take part in preventing the activities that potentially pollute the DND canal. The consultant needs to be capable of engaging a on-spot vigilant workforce.
